It feels like we just celebrated the new year’s eve yesterday and Holi is knocking on the door. Everyone is excited for this beautiful festival of joy, excitement, colors, fun and frolic. People gather together and play with colors and have the mouth watering festivities namely Gujhiyas and Namak Paare. It is a festival which brings sweet gujhiyas and salty namak paare together which signifies the togetherness of all the diversities. Markets are fully colored and glittered. But, in all this excitement, we often forget about our silent paw friends who are not so welcoming to this upcoming excitement and colors.
Here is your paw loving friend, Nimish Mishra; with 5 reasons why you should spare your paw friends this holi.
2. Senior dogs, little puppies and the dogs with short fur are more likely to get skin rashes and burns and often it leads to their death if not treated properly.
3. Dogs become uncomfortable and paranoid when colors are rubbed over them leading to imbalance in their brains.
4. Your little canine paw friends can lick the colors applied on them. Colors contain lead which acts as a poison if licked.
5. Your paw friend should be kept away from insensitive play of colors. If accidentally any water balloon full of color hit him in his eyes, it may lead to permanent damage to the eyes of your little friend.
Last but not the least, lets promise ourselves that we will not be engaging our little paw friends in this festival and we will also protect and care for our silent friends who do not have a family or a home and live on roads; stray dogs. Please pledge to yourselves that you all will help them and spare them this holi. HAVE A SAFE AND REJOICING HOLI.
